Cookie Policy
Last updated 6 August 2026
Cookies let our shop remember your basket, keep your checkout secure, and help us understand what's working. This page explains exactly which ones we use, who else can see them, and how to change your mind at any time.
Section 1
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit a website. Similar technologies — pixels, tags and local storage — do much the same job, and everything on this page applies to them too.
They allow a site to remember things between pages and between visits: what's in your basket, whether you're signed in, which language you prefer, and how you found us.
Section 2
The three kinds we use
Only the first category is set automatically. The other two are set only if you agree, and you can withdraw that agreement whenever you like.
Strictly necessary
Always activeThese make the shop work. Without them you couldn't hold items in a basket or check out safely.
- Keeping your basket intact as you browse
- Securing the checkout and preventing fraud
- Remembering that you're signed in
- Storing your language and region preference
- Recording your cookie choices, so we don't ask again
Legal basis: necessary for the service you've requested. Consent is not required, and these cannot be switched off.
Analytics
Consent requiredThese tell us how the shop is actually used, so we can fix what's confusing.
- Which pages are visited, and in what order
- How long people stay, and where they leave
- Device, browser and approximate location
- Page speed and error rates
Legal basis: your consent. Refusing costs you nothing — the shop works identically.
Marketing & advertising
Consent requiredThese let us measure our advertising and show you pieces you're more likely to care about.
- Measuring which adverts lead to orders
- Showing you relevant products on other platforms
- Recognising you across sessions and devices
- Limiting how often you see the same advert
Legal basis: your consent. These are set by advertising partners, who become independent controllers of the data they receive.
Section 3

Rows shaded in cream are set only after you consent. This list is reviewed regularly, but apps installed on the shop can introduce new cookies — if you spot one that isn't listed, please tell us and we'll add it.
Section 4
Who else receives data
Some cookies are placed by companies whose services we use. They handle your data under their own privacy policies, and we don't control what they do with it.
Our providers
- Shopify — the platform running this shop, including checkout and payments
- Meta (Facebook & Instagram) — advertising measurement and audience building
- Google — website analytics and advertising measurement
- Payment providers — fraud prevention and secure transaction processing
- Apps installed on our shop — reviews, email marketing and support tools
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Several of these companies are based in the United States, so consenting to analytics or marketing cookies means data about your visit may be transferred outside the EEA.
Where that happens, transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission. You can decline these cookies and no such transfer will take place.
Changing your mind is meant to be easy
Withdrawing consent should take no more effort than giving it. Use the button below to reopen your cookie settings at any time — no email, no request, no explanation needed. Non-essential cookies stop immediately.
Section 5
Your consent
On your first visit you'll see a banner asking what you're comfortable with. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies is set until you choose.
What you can do
- Accept all cookies
- Reject everything that isn't essential — in one click, as easily as accepting
- Choose analytics and marketing separately
- Change any of it later, using the button above
We record your choice so you aren't asked repeatedly. If we materially change how we use cookies, we'll ask again rather than assume your previous answer still stands.
Managing cookies in your browser
Independently of our banner, every major browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them, block them entirely, restrict particular categories, or be warned before one is stored.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the shop — most visibly your basket and checkout. Blocking the other categories has no effect on how the shop works for you.
Section 6
Your rights
Data collected through cookies is handled in line with our Privacy Policy, which sets out your rights in full.
In short
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without giving a reason
- Ask what data we hold about you, and request a copy
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Object to processing, or ask us to restrict it
Write to info@aspenmaecollective.com and we'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels — or with the supervisory authority in your own country of residence.
Section 7
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our tools or obligations change.
Minor corrections take effect once published, and the date at the top will tell you when that was. If a change materially affects how we use cookies, we'll ask for your consent again rather than rely on the old answer.
